Overview Booking a stay in Poseidon's Pearl means you and your group will get to experience an Outer Banks vacation in the only 13-bedroom house in Whalehead where no detail was overlooked during the design phase of this home. There are multiple game areas and coffee bars throughout the house, and each bedroom has a private bath, most with custom tiled walk-in showers. The large private pool is impressively 38' x 15' with a 26' x 6' shallow area for young swimmers and in-pool sunbathing in the chaise loungers. By having pool heat (offered for an additional fee), the pool season starts in the spring and carries into the fall. For the pool-loving summer vacationers, the pool is shaded during the afternoon summer heat, giving you respite from the sun while splashing around. Poseidon's Pearl is one lot west of the nearest beach access; a gate from the pool area leads out to Dolphin St., and a short walk will put you at the Dolphin Public Beach Access. The height of the house, in relation to the neighboring house, provides great ocean views as well as views of the sunset each evening since there is no house to the west. A large private pool that can be heated (for an additional fee) invites you to jump in from the moment you arrive. The pool is 38' wide, with a 26' wide shallow edge for youngsters. Lay out on an in-pool chaise lounger to catch some rays, or take a relaxing dip in the poolside hot tub. A nearby cabana with an outdoor TV provides shade and seating while not being far from the fun in the sun. An outdoor ping-pong table and outdoor speakers add to the list of outdoor amenities available. An outdoor shower makes going from the ocean to the pool to the indoors for the evening as simple as a quick rinse. The great room has many windows towards the east, and being on an elevated lot, you can enjoy views of the ocean. The dining area has a sliding glass door that leads to an east-facing sundeck with outdoor speakers and overlooks the pool. The kitchen has a large island and plenty of counter space for meal prep and service. The coffee will be flowing as two standard coffee makers and a Keurig are all available. A shuffleboard table is available on this level for some friendly competition as your whole group gathers to spend time together.
