Mid Level: You will find two lovely main bedrooms with king beds on this floor, in addition to a room with twin beds that shares a bath with a bedroom that features two twin-over-double bunk beds. All rooms on this floor have deck access. Top Level: This floor features a great room with a TV, stereo, kitchen, living and dining areas, powder room, and a main bedroom with a king bed King and a private deck. With virtually no dune, On Water's Edge has prime beach access and completely unobstructed views of the rolling ocean and amazing sunrises. On living level one, you will find three spacious bedrooms. Bedroom one is a main bedroom with a king bed, private bath, TV, and deck access. Bedroom two has a pyramid bunk. Bedroom three has two singles. A centrally located hall bath and laundry area round out this level. A foosball table are also located on this level which will make for hours of fun. Don't forget about those family game nights. On Water's Edge has multiple board games for your entertainment choices. At the top of the stairs is the comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated great room. The living room offers plenty of space for everyone to gather around and recount the day's adventures. The fully-equipped kitchen is opened to the living room so the conversation can continue to flow even as the cooks are in the kitchen preparing their specialties. The nearby dining table offers seating for four with an additional four seats available at the breakfast bar. Build a beautiful resort village on a favorite Hatteras Island location, and they will come. The Cottages at the Cape are the closest rentals to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in Buxton. They share a long border with the national park and are literally steps from the beachfront. Bring the bikes, because Buxton’s unique shops, restaurants, and lighthouse are all very close. Forget the 4WD vehicle - those in the know have discovered that the three jetties to the east of the cottages produce some of the best fishing, surfing, and swimming on this island. Walking to the south will take you to open beaches, the famed Cape Point, and if luck is on your side during the summer, a few sea turtle nests (be careful to stay outside the barriers). The interior has been professionally-decorated with comfortable and fun beach décor. You'll have access to an outside shower and a patio. The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean views from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. Elevator service to all levels makes Durant Station a most convenient choice for all ages: no need to haul luggage and groceries up long flights of stairs! Guests are just a few short steps to the ocean via a private wooden walkway. The Hatteras area offers some of the best fishing and sunbathing on the East Coast. At Durant Station, you'll enjoy a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's largest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 - January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past.
