A friendly staff and small town atmosphere makes this well-equipped grocery store a pleasure to shop at, and many visitors come regularly on their annual vacation. Situated on the oceanfront next to Jennette’s Pier, this local family-owned market has been in business for more than 50 years. This is a great place to pick up fresh-made sandwiches, snacks and salads for a picnic lunch at the beach, or on your way to go fishing all day at Oregon Inlet.  Cold drinks, beer and good selection of wine and quality meat are also available here, as well as gourmet cheeses and fixings. There’s even fresh local produce for sale. You can also purchase bait and tackle, and pick up a nice beach souvenir at the gift shop.

Campground stores don’t get much better than the one at the Frisco Woods Campground. At the Frisco Woods Camp Store, you can find everything you need for the perfect Outer Banks camping trip and you will without a doubt leave as a happy camper. Not only can campers find all the necessities they need such as firewood, groceries, RV needs, beach toys, snacks, coffee, beer and wine and ice cream, there is more. The kids will love the large selection of toys, seashells and puzzles while the adults can browse the souvenirs, gifts, local books, shoes and T-shirts. If you are interested in windsurfing lessons, kayak lessons or just have a question about the area, stop by and talk to the friendly staff. Have a question about the campground and camping cabins? This is the place you will find all your answers. You will also be able to find WiFi here too. The campground is located on Highway 12 between Buxton and Hatteras Village. The camp store is at the entrance to the grounds.

Cozy and welcoming, Morning View offers a variety of fresh-roasted coffee and organic teas and a great place to sip and enjoy. There are comfortable chairs and a few tables where customers can relax and chat, or browse the Internet ---- there’s free WiFi available.  It’s no surprise that the shop has become a favorite local gathering spot. Coffee is roasted on the premises by the owner, who is a master roaster, so the place smells wonderful.  The selection of coffee, all Free Trade and/or organic, include beans from Africa, Central and South America, and the South Pacific and Indonesia. Whatever the bean, all the coffee is roasted specifically to bring out the optimum flavor. Specialty drinks like espresso, mocha, latte, steamed milk and hot chocolate are also available.  A variety of roasted coffee beans can be purchased from the store.

This modest deli and convenience store at Milepost 10 off the U.S. 158 Bypass is not just any Citgo gas station stop. As the sign in the window boasts, it’s the “Best Lunch Deli on the Beach,” and many locals would agree. Their biscuits are renowned for their taste and texture, and the fried chicken is the way Southern fried chicken is supposed to be. Food is freshly made every morning and afternoon, and the selection offers basic homestyle favorites. Breakfast offerings include sausage, bacon, pork, ham and of course, eggs. Hurry in to grab a cheese biscuit, a specialty. Some mornings , if you’re lucky, you can get yourself a goo-ey warm cinnamon bun.

Coffee and creativity in one venue!

This quirky shop has a fabulous collection of hats, shoes and coffee. Before it opened in Duck, it did business in a large wooden building in Nags Head for 12 years. The new location is not quite as big, but it has the same focus on cool headgear and great tasting coffee from fresh beans.

Timbuck II is a Corolla shopping destination featuring a wide variety of retail and restaurant experiences. Visitors will wander through a massive complex featuring over 60 venues ranging from art galleries and clothing stores to gift shops, realty companies and a video rental shop. Please be sure to visit Good Vibes Video-2018 will be the last summer open. Everything must go!
