A little shop with lots of heart, The Music Store has been serving musicians and students in the Outer Banks area for over a quarter century.  Current owner Betsey Paulsen and her husband Mike, who once played with Eagles’ Joe Walsh, started the store as a family business 27 years ago. Though they moved a few times and Betsey ended up on her own for a while after Mike passed away, the shop remains a family operation with the couple’s sons now part of the team.Betsey is not just a business owner, her family is a vital part of the Outer Banks community, providing instrument rentals to all Dare County Schools, as well as a retail store for professionals and amateur musicians.
